Serconsa

Serconsa

The project consists in the remodeling and expansion of the SERCONSA fuel station, located in Pucallpa – Ucayali, in the Peruvian Amazon. The architecture program includes increasing the number of fuel dispensers, the existing store, new facilities for commercial premises, and a future GLP gas station.

Being a commercial project, the architectural proposal seeks to enhance the sales area around the pump yard and parking lots, offering a wide sidewalk from which customers circulate and access the different stores, following a strip mall typology.

The large central space opens onto the avenue so that it is possible to see the gas pumps, framed by the stores located on both sides.

A fundamental part of the concept has been the design of lighting in order to allow the display of the different stores as showcases. Both circulation and roofs are highlighted, providing the complex an advertising border.

The roof at the service station, both for the gas pumps and buildings, were designed as large horizontal cantilevering platforms with a reflective finish that mirrors the movement of cars and commercial facades. These wide surfaces allow to solve the drainage for the areas heavy rain.
